NBCC Aquaculture Student Prize 2007/08

Each year, this prize is presented to a deserving student of the New Brunswick Community College Aquaculture Technician Program in St. Andrews.
The $1000 award is typically given to one student of the Aquaculture program, but this year the instructors felt that two students were equally deserving, and asked if we could split the award to recognize both individuals, who are:
Jeff Gibbons, from Saint John, NB. His instructors say that Jeff is an excellent student that works hard in the classroom, as well as working part-time with Atlantic Towing in Saint John Harbour. "Jeff sets the bar for academic achievement in the program this year"
Jeffrey Lazore, from a First Nations Reserve on the border between Ontario and Quebec. Jeffrey is in charge of an aquaculture project on his Reserve that will focus on sturgeon and striped bass. He has come to NBCC St. Andrews to learn all about aquaculture so that he can better manage his project. "He brings to the classroom a real driving passion for learning".
