President’s Welcome

On behalf of the Atlantic AquaFair Steering Committee, I am very pleased to welcome you to our 2009 event. In keeping with last year's changes, we continue to explore the best ways to celebrate the salmon farming industry in Southwestern New Brunswick.
Based upon recommendations from our golfers, we have brought the AquaFair Golf Tournament back to the Fairmont Algonquin. ESQU has suggested that we hold a Golfers Reception, which will be held at the Harbour Front Hotel June 11th. Golfers will tee off bright and early on June 12th.
The AquaFair Awards Luncheon will be held Immediately following the Golf Tournament, in the St. Andrews Arena Ballroom. We are looking forward to this activity, which will conclude with the announcement of the Aquaculturist of the Year!
On Saturday, June 13, we will hold the second annual Celebration of Salmon Farming at the Day Adventure Centre in St. George. Most everyone knows that this is truly the heart of the NB salmon farming industry. Like last year, this event will have a festival feel, with great music and entertainment. We will feature a free salmon barbecue, as well as the the first ever 2009 Aquaculture Olympics!
